About ClimateCircle

Over the past 20 years, the municipalities of North Western Jutland have been characterised by very far-sighted planning within the fields of production of clean energy.

Holstebro i. e. produces a very high level of renewable energy, some 45 % which is the highest level in the central part of Jutland.

This high level of renewable energy is due to Måbjerg Bioenergy's intelligent transformation of waste and biomass into energy. Waste is derived from agriculture, forestry, household items and industry - the same who will benefit from the renewed energy.

One of the benefits of Holstebro's focus on energy planning is that it places the region on the cutting edge of development and adaption of new methods and technologies needed to transform waste and biomass into energy. This shared mindset and focus both attracts and creates innovative minds and as a result Holstebro now hosts a large concentration of companies with highly skilled and innovative developers. In effect, the Nupark are in Holstebro now has a greater concentration of competence, know-how and experience in implementing the relevant technology than any other area in Denmark. These facts were the foundation for a visionary project: to increase the level of renewable energy to 120 percent, thereby becoming an exporter of renewable and clean energy.

On behalf of Holstebro and Nupark area, ClimateCircle document and display "best practice" examples to attract like minded on an international scale, creating a hub of knowledge-based companies with export potential in which sustainable solutions within the field of climate and energy are successfully projected, established and operated.
